"F. Bilby" The Family Butchers, 5 High Street, Manningtree (1907) Publisher F. Newell
Built in the 1840’s this Grade II listed building is within the conservation area of the medieval town of Manningtree.
The premises currently "Chilvers" Fish & Chips located here in Google Street View by clicking here.
The Food Standards agency would have had a field day with this butchers, no refrigeration, mixed hanging meats and I imagine flies and maggots galore exposed to the open air.
This card was part of the "Registered Series" by F.Newell, Manningtree & Alresford, Hants. published around 1905 - 1910.
